Fires are burning on two continents right now.
Spain, Portugal, Greece and France are fighting wildfires as I write this, the same week Arkansas, Oregon and British Columbia are doing the same on the other side of the Atlantic. What is genuinely encouraging is that the technology in this issue is not sitting on a slide deck somewhere. OroraTech's satellites are already cutting response times for an agency flying planes older than I am, and the same thermal data held up well enough to contradict a suspect's story in an arson case. Detection is turning into evidence, not just an earlier warning.
That is worth sitting with: the sensors built to spot smoke are quietly becoming the record keepers for what happens after the fire is out, in court as much as in the field.

Skyforest AB opens next phase of drone seedling inventory
